Man does that make me what to move out to the coast. Haven't been to Pismo yet but I have wanted to go for years as I have heard they is some areas to Paraglide near there and the dunes are fun to play in. How are things there in the winter?

Yeah it was a blast last weekend. We should have another pumkins and clams buggy regatta there same time next year. Maybe we'll get to do some night flying?

I definately need a smaller kite there when the wind really kicks on. I just don't weigh enough to hold a line on the sand with my 3m² Sam when the winds are 15-25mph.

Really?
I drove all the way to Pismo on Saturday and couldn't find any other buggys.
Perhaps 10-20 kiteboarders on the water, and one guy on a landboard.

Still, I got my 2 hours of sand in my butt (Boy do I miss the beach sometimes)

I checked from the pier to maybe half way down the beach at the state park.
Looked with my binoculars too.
Nothing.

No problems from the rangers.
Wind was light at only 13-15 mph, but that smoothness was sweeeeeeet.

So where were you?

We were camped out in the thick of it with all the ATV's at the south end, just north of the fenced off "closed area". I don't think any of us went north of W. Grand Ave. entrance. Maybe we should have? Were there many people on the beach near the pier?

I entered at Oceana at the state park and paid my $5.
That's probably the northern-most entrance.
Hardly any strollers on the beach between the park and the pier.

I don't know the names of the entrances.
I just drove about a mile south and set up and buggy'd.
Amidst the kiteboarders.

I was there on Saturday.
Not finding any other buggiers, and not wanting an expensive motel room, I left at sunset and drove to Elmer's, where I spent the night and found the dry lake wasn't, the next morning.

Sorry I missed you guys, but still had a salt water and sand holiday.

Nice shots, Slawek! I fly funston, just south of where those were taken. I was able to soar that cement wall shown in your photos once years ago, way cool. I just finished building a pair of doomwheels, and hope to get some testing in the next couple of days. What kite:singing: were you flying in those shots, and what were the conditions? I have a 2.5 beamer, and a blade 3 6.6 on the way. Looking forward to being dragged all over!

Probably it was razor 5.5 or if you thinking about video it could be any kite from my bag.I would recomend You start blading with Your 2.5 beamer blade would be to much lifty ,but in 7-10mph You can try it.KIte You ordered are probably not best to start with but I didn't try beamer yet so...
Cheers
