It's a 24 proto, of what PL...? not enough looks at it to know. Synergy shape?
Looked like great fun, which can be more important than high speed. Use anything to help inflate that monster?
Tide? What's a tide? Man, it's 1000 miles to any ocean.

I'm confused. Hardwater posted a comment that said it was a 19m Flysurfer. The only "24m Big Blue" light wind machine I know of is a blue 24m
Synergy... that was not a Synergy... :puzzled: New Phantom maybe? But I don't know how he'd have it.

Somewhere it said it was a prototype PL. It could be a synergy prototype but looks to be a higher AR than a Syn.

The 19m Flysurfer was the other kite Chris's wife was flying.
I'm not clear what model of arc that is. I'm as always stuck on how you can ride hard Ice and edge so well. Dude is one super ski tech as well as
kiter !

Prototype big blue looks great!
Also, have you had the F-Arc out for any speed runs? Any comments on how it flys??
I love Nahant but rarely get there anymore.

X2 BR!!! I would never of thought skis would edge so well on hard ice as seen in Chris' other "high speed" video. They sure are capable of serious
speed compared to skates.

Well that's just it. It looks like the underside of a Phantom, and it definitely has the AR to be one, but there's conflicting labels... One says a
24m "Big Blue" light wind machine, AKA PL Synergy... Another (read his comment) says it's actually a 19m SA DLX. It definitely is not a 24m Synergy.
Maybe it really is a SA DLX? I'm not ready to rule it a Phanny II yet.

You gotta understand that BOTH kites are in the vid. A PL proto and a flysurfer. His wife is riding the FS. He is riding the PL proto.

Of course both kites are in the vid, but he had a comment... Which, for some reason is not there anymore... That said something along the lines of,
"
1) This is actually a 19m SA DLX
2) Don't ever post your wife's weight if you know what's good for you.
"
Did anyone else see this? It looked to me like he was referring to his own kite. That's why I am confused. But either way, it's definitely not a
Synergy. And he said it isn't the Phantom 2. :x

Chris, don't let too many people know what it is! Let me know how my sewing holds up. When I was completing it I didn't have in mind you might rack up
tons of miles flying it. Looks like you'll put it to good use! Thanks for sharing, good to see it in action! Always fun to see something come to life!

Okay, okay I'll let some of the cats out of some of the bags.
In order.....
1) The kite, a G2 proto. Yes, a Guerilla 2. Nice work Rudeboy, I hope she holds together. I may have to look into stouter pockets but for now I
love her! The fabric seems funky and she weighs 7.5lbs with the spars so She may be lighter than what one would expect.
2) Can't share my tuning secrets but I will say that it can only be done by hand. I will also add that for most clean ice a 88/0 will hold an edge on
all but the hardest ice and will last the longest. My edge will burn out in about an hour of agressive skiing and I usually tune the life out of 2 or
3 pairs of skis a year. Also, there is a certain amount of strength required to ski my edge as you have to actively disengage it whenever you need to
stop or turn. There is no relaxing involved with riding my skis.
3) I ski SG/DH skis supplied by Rossignol. My favorite was a pair of hand me downs from Picabo Street but I killed them riding today. The base came
off which is a common occurence with our kite speed skis. I could only have tuned them maybe one more time so no great lose. I have to mount another
ski in the morning.
4) Oh, don't mess with the steel wool. Razor shape tip to tale with no detune is part of the equation. Of course that makes for a burly ride if you
aren't careful. :o
5) I haven't gotten out on the Farcs yet. Still waiting for the right day and waiting to get a little stronger. Looking forward to it tho!
6) Silver arrow deluxe are spec'd differently with custom colors and blah blah blah. Basically it got us a 19m P4 SA that is colored in a way that if
you stay below treeline nobody will see you. I have my reasons.
So, I'm glad everyone had fun trying to guess the kite. She really is a dream to fly. Maybe Peter Lynn should offer a kite like thgis? Sort of a
lightwind only wing ala Ozone's Zephyr but that actually flies with a 200+ rider?

Thanks Chris for the info. I knew the 85 angle was sharp but it surprised me that 88 will hold. My almost 13 year old clocked 32 mph on Oneida lake
today with my 5.3 PL viper , he's a natural, you'll have to talk to him at Kitestorm.

32mph is pretty zippy. Damn I wish I had kites when I was 13! Then again kites available then probably would have been quite as user friendly way
back then. I'd love to meet the kid, he sounds like he's into it.
Yes an 88 will hold well as long as it's a smooth and sharp tip to tail. Smooth edges are key.
How are the conditions on Oneida? I've never ridden there and was thinking about heading over that way to check it out.
The wind is gonna nuke today at about 4mph. Gonna bust out Big Blue and do some cruisin. I may try my big F-Arc and see how that goes. Psyched!

Wow - low wind and low end on a G2? Hardly seems possible. What did you do it, Aaron? Did you release the rear strap from the center cells and
relax the trailing edge? C'mon, let on...
Up here on Chequamegon Bay in WI with a couple front-bridled arcs, waiting for the rain to stop and some wind to appear.
