Great Kills Park / Sandy Hook NJ Buggying

Is anyone familiar with the Staten Island Gateway Parks? Specifically Great Kills Park and the surrounding beaches?

Also, does anyone buggy at Sandy Hook NJ?

Lately I have been scouring Google maps trying to find suitable fields or beaches for buggying in northern NJ that don't require me to drive over the GW Bridge . Any info on good locations at either of the two parks I mentioned (or other areas) would be greatly appreciated.

hey ladiesman
years ago(about10) a few us went to sandyhook to buggy.
we were there for only about an hour when a ranger pulled up and said we can`t do that there. it seems the fishermen didn`t like us on "thier beach. we were nowhere near them.
when we started to question him. he told us to leave or we are goin for a little ride in the back of his car. i haven`t been back since.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely make some calls before attempting anything at either of those beaches.
