*Reservations now being taken* Shalimar Resorts

Latest lodging information:

*Make sure to mention the Buggy Bash to receive your discount!*

http://www.shalimarresortmotel.com/index.html

Spoke with LBJ (Joecat) about the resort and it checks out to be a really nice place with a recent renovation. Did I mention some killer prices? Check this out...

The following is the rate information we spoke about over the phone on August 3, 2010.

Date of Arrival: October 22, 2010
Date of Departure: October 24, 2010

For up to 30 Rooms (Please let us know how many we need to hold for you as soon as possible)

Rates per room
$120.00 for 2 nights for a couple
$130.00 for 2 nights for a family with 2 adults & 1 or 2 children

Any additional nights added to the 2 night stay will be as follows:
$50.00 per night for 2 adults
$60.00 for a family with 2 adults & 1 or 2 children

Thank you very much for your interest in our establishment,

Maria

So as you can see we need some numbers now for Maria. This place is located 1 block from the beach and again 7 blocks south of the pier. The possibility of our group being the only people in the building is very good. They actually do close for the winter but will open if there is a good turn-out. Maria has stated that she will be open for us.

PLEASE CHECK THE POLL! Let's get her some numbers soon.

I will be inquiring about the kitchenettes for those looking to cook. Anyone with questions feel free to ask!

Todd,
The place looks very nice, Mary walked by it last spring and commented how nice it was. I will pass the info along to the other Blokarters who attended in the past.

Thanks for putting your time and effort into organizing the event and lodging.

First off... You're welcome! I don't mind doing this if it makes a smooth running event for everybody.

Secondly I just got off the phone with Maria; she states that most all the rooms will have a kitchenette in them. We will more than likely be on the 3rd or 4th floor to keep us together and the pool may or may not be heated at that time (weather related) Good news! The BBQ pits will still be in use so time to get your grill on.

Maria is very excited to have us at her resort and even wants to come down to try out some kites. How cool is that? Oh, and when it comes time to book the rooms it will be done on an individual basis, I'll let you know when.

Until then... is it October yet?

Scott it stinks that you won't be able to make it for the bash! Even more that you have to have surgery! See you in the spring! Or maybe you can make another trip off season with us when your knee heals a little!
