Kitesurfing on a lake

I've got a Frenzy 9.5 that I primarily use on land with a mountainboard, but I'd like to try it on the water. There are a couple of roadblocks: 1. I can't figure out how to launch the kite. The shore of the lake is very wooded. The kite is too big to put on a dock or across the back of a boat. Does anyone have any experience launching foils successfully in similar circumstances? 2. I don't have a kiteboard or a wakeboard. I was thinking of using a pair of skis. Would this work?

Create a floating launch pad.

And skis would work just fine if the wind was blowing hard, other wise you would sink so much your skies would grab the water and probably get pulled off.

This is just what I thought of. I have no experience with the situation.

you could always cut down a bunch of trees in the middle of the night or tie a tight wire around the trunk to kill the tree for next season. If you do decide to kill a tree simply ask its permission and bless the thing before hand too.
