And what a Devils Triangle that is. I lived Abilene for a couple years.
Well I didn't like Abilene too good but I didn't know kites then.
If I could only go back. That would have been the best flying I could ever imagine. Wide the freak open for as far as the eye could see.
You guys have it made. Just not in the shade.

I look out my back window and see nothing all the way to Oklahoma (I'm at the very far North of Dallas area ... Celina)
Wow....I just looked outside and I have 3 inches of snow and it is coming down sideways!
Wonder if I got a big trashcan lid to hop on with a kite.

I'm in houston also but I wonder around Abilene and Amarillo all the time. I work on the wind turbines in Fluvanna ( north of Abilene) and Whitedeer
(east of Amarillo). I was wondering if there were any kiters out there. The wind is always blowing when I'm there.
