Windless Holiadays

So after packing up my gear and heading out to the city hoping to get a tour of the local kiting spot, the wind failed to show its face for the entire weekend. Was hoping to be able to meet one of our own from that area and have a chance to fly with him but obviously that never happened. Got all my Christmas shopping done in an extremely crowded mall and managed to consume wayyyyyyyyy to much alcohol on Saturday night. Now I have ahead of me a couple weeks off of work and there is absolutely no wind in the forecast till Sunday. I guess this must be the karma of the sport. So to any of you guys out there in the same predicament, I feel your pain.

I'm down south escaping the rain and waiting for snowkiting green lake back home.
I managed to kill the wind as well.

Tomorrow will be the opposite with gusty / dusty winds in to the 30's. Perhaps too much after too little ? OR ... a good test for the 10m :wee:

I was down in DC for a week around Thanksgiving. A day of rain and the rest of it was dead air, except for the one day when I had family obligations. Schlepped a heavy duffel full of foils for nothing. This is the 3rd trip to DC that has been like that. :mad:
