Kite friendly beach
Looking for a kite friendly beach somewhere up or down the SF bay area coast where we can fly foils on the sand without getting harassed about plovers
or some other issue. Any recommendations?

Last I heard you can still static fly at Ocean beach, just no wheels. Plus you need to stay clear of the dunes on the south end. I can't remember the
gate numbers off the top of my head, but something like gate 20 you need to be north of.

Plover nesting season ended in May so it's ok to go south. Ocean Beach is fine for static, but just as Dakitez said - no wheels.
we all believe is called the expansion

Thanks guys. I got hassled last year in Oct at Sunset beach but the ranger said it was not ok before Sept. Go figure!!! He was really quizzing me
on what my intention were with the kite. Almost sounded like he was not going to let me fly if I was going to kiteboard as he was pretty direct about
that. We even hiked well clear of everyone on the beach.
