I dunno about Flysurfer. But on my Montana, I just grab the landing handle (the one used for parking the kite on the ground) and the kite lifts off the ground in reverse and then when it's a couple feet off the ground, pretty much to clear a spin i grab one side of the bar and she turns around. In low winds, you might have to walk backwards to get this to happen....if she's on the ground in a jumble a little tangled in it's own web, I do a series on pulling on the center lines and then the handle , until she whips open. Rarely do i walk to the kite unless the bridle is tangled completly behind kite or it bowties. :bigok:

That's exactly what I do with my Blaze II. Sometimes when holding the brake lines unevenly, it will rise backwards and then flip on its own and then fall back to the ground because you're still holding the brakes. When Don and I setup his FS Psycho, launching was great and the kite flew great, but when it crashed and needed to be reverse launched, none of my tricks worked. I was completely stumped. The other problem with running over to the kite to launch it yourself is that the kite is still inflated for the most part, and what happened to me was the kite started rolling over itself and wrapping the lines around it. It was quite a PITA to relaunch. Maybe you just have to be good enough to never let it touch the ground when launched! :D In that case, Don, I hope you get the feel for it real quick!

well, i hope to get a few shots at it this week ,at least --i'll just keep trying different things till i get it--

ive got a flysurfer rookie2 and i just pull on the webbing connecting the brakes...however, i think a psycho is different.

after the kite is flipped and heading back up to zenith. keep the bar pulled in almost to the point of backstall. the reason for doing that is that it will make the kite fly slow and have little to no power as it works its way back up to zenith. if you just let it fly up while its depowered it would likely get going fast enough to yard you!

yes! and thats exactly what happened!! it went up quickly and i went unexpectedly forward,unpleasant when youre not prepared for it! i'm just glad the wind was only 10 or i might have gotten hurt pretty bad.... thanks,thats a great tip:singing:
