no glitch, a nasty storm rolled in... That beach empties fast


Slid your buggy a bunch bobby! Winds were out of the south for a bit yesterday, so I was stuck in a perpetual figure 8...lots of sliding lmao! With another mph or two, I could have just slid up and down the beach without catching traction.... Im ready to hit it again today!

The northerly winds and northerly upwind runs enabled some blazing fast downwind runs. I carried 4 passengers in the tandem today and had the opportunity to show them why we like this so much. The smokin' fast downwind runs led to some epic slides.

For those that have never tried it, a five wheel slide from 30+ MPH with a 200+ lb plus passenger is not to be missed. Just put a lot of room between yourself and the water before you start that slide or you're gonna get wet.

WOW, That's all I can say about JIBE and the people that are involved with it. Hats off to Angus for putting on a fantastic event and the Kite Fort Soldiers for Holding it down and getting my sugar levels up with Aunt B cookies (Thanks Aunt B):roll: Learned a lot from watching you guys attack the beach like it was D DAY. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!! Made some friends and left my foot print in the sand, wont stay there long so I have to come back and stomp some more

another JIBE has come and gone but it never gets old.....................great flying and chewing the fat with you all again. Angus, another stellar event as expected. This was def the best surf and turf JIBE to date. Most made it to the south water tower on Thursday afternoon. A bit more north component on Fri and Sat but upwind tacks were followed by screaming downwind runs and of course the water crowd got off too..................posted pics and vid on FB. I agree on what a tremendous event put on by Angus, thank you. It was certainly great to see each and every one of you again even meeting some new folks. What a better way to unwind from the miles of the road. Big thank you to Scott who I bummed gear from to let me get in a session.

That was a 13m. I'm still not sure what happened there. I think I must have been talking too much with Rusty and got distracted. All I remember is realizing I was aiming at the water and freezing.

I don't know if I could have gotten out of there with a fast downturn or not. We'll never really know.

I hope Rusty wasn't scarred by the experience. :-)
