NJ Activity for no wind days .....

I am planning to get paragliding classes ..... No wind for kiting = good day for paragliding

Anyone interested to get group together ???? I know 2 guys we can ride with after we have own gear ......

Meet up in NY Brooklyn, Plum Beach for kiteboarding session ..... Sat 24th around 2pm
Groupe includes: me , martini pro, jaro, Jaymz ?.... come to join us.....

Kober, get a para set-up for your X-19! Don't know if it is really possible, but I see the Flysurfers set up that way... You know if you buy a paraglider the wind will never stop blowing!(Kite curse in reverse!)

A mainly sunny sky. High 64F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph

low tide at 3:30m

Ok, with memorial day around the corner I'm aching for a buggy session this weekend and hopefully the next 2 weekends as well.

Anyone interested?
I know is too soon to tell if the winds/weather will cooperate but I'll take the drive anywhere(within reasonable distance/time) for a session.

I could be up for it, since it looks like I won't be making JIBE :-(

I cannot commit to anything yet as I have another MRI later this week. After the follow-up appointment to that, I will hopefully have a better idea of what I can and cannot do...

Hey Martin- I'm in if the winds appear on Long Beach.

We need to find closed airport or large open field .... so we can buggy in various wind directions ....... I am up for buggy session if we have east wind ...... wait .... my buggy is broken ...... I think is time to try ATB ......

Since we are loosing our beach rights in 2 weeks. I am planning on heading to Wildwood tomorrow/sunday

Wind directions isn't perfect but it will have to do. May be a good day for North Beach. Forecast shows:
Saturday: NE @ 18mph winds. Low Tide at 1:10pm
Sunday: ENE @ 21mph winds. Low tide at 1:45pm

Is it possible to buggy in north beach during high tide?
I will try to be at north beach around 10:30-11:00am. Will be there until tide kicks us out, if still hungry for more will consider moving to Wildwood Crest for some cross-shore runs.

Anyone else up for it?

My buggy is waiting for parts... so until the fall I would consider only water sessions proposals.

North beach during high tide? I hope you have some beach to ride. Depending on how high it gets... that can GREATLY reduce the amount of rideable beach... Hope you get some riding in...

Headin' to WW North Beach this AM.

Had a great sess. with Martinipro and Kristen - even if was mostly zig-zagging the NE across the Crest sand. I had my trusty 9m Proto Phanny out the whole time, and it kept right up with the other's 12m Phanny and 10m VI - that is one versatile little kite!

Today we have small kiteboarding gathering at Surf City NJ .... me with my brother , Martin and Aaron , Darko, Jaro .... mixed sizes from 8 to 19 and mixed winds .... from 10 ??? to 25mph ..... Lots of flat shallow water with muddy launch spot ....

Monday looks promising .... so ... we are coming back to same location ...... anyone is welcome .. U2U me for time and address..... Tibi ???

Kober, how was the water session this weekend? I just read your message. I had a full weekend. Maybe Monday I could've come, but I didn't read this in time.

We have good session on Friday ..... Monday did not bring anything to talk about ...... except that I self rescue for 1h ....
We sit and wait for promised wind .... X19 and S19 did not provide any power to ride ..... We have crew of 7 guys .... after 1h .... we decide to have few beers and relax..... then ..... from wind start blowing .... my x19 was too much ...... I switch to Gin Zulu 13m and start riding ...... 20min later I end up on middle of bay with kite in the water .... puck up ..... start swimming to the shore .....
other guys luckily ride close to the launch spot and have no problem walking back in shallow water ..... except one that was half way between me and land ....

You did not miss anything ..... and I have my 2nd self rescue this year .... 1h of swimming agains current ... I think that is my limit ....

Hey Kober, I don't have gear for the water but would love to give it a try (first time). Let me know if you think we could work out the details. Marc.......

If you have you own LEI we can help you get started .... and if you want try if kiteboarding is for you I recommend to take one lesson with one of our local instructors and use provided gear....
For start its good idea to buy older 07 or 08 kite with repairs for dirt cheap and learn on that before proceeding with buying new kite .... Let me know if you have any questions or want to come to one of our sessions .....
