Sounds like Mouogl is getting a head start on Tuesday. NOAA is predicting SE 15-20 for then which is near perfect. then the afternoon sea-breeze kicks in to pull it right off the water for perfect park-and-rides. This bodes well for the week.

I will be enumerating citizens for the US Census Bureau but will try to sneak away if I can get enough heads counted...

Guessing GNV is short for Greenville?

I was on the beach today and it looks great! No odd formations or too many tidal pools. Nice and smooth.

Today was side shore wind at 18-24 mph. smoking sand and sheep in the pasture. Too strong for the seabreeze to override but the beach was wide of some fun running about.

NOAA Predicts SE winds either 10 kts or 10-15. This is perfect. dead on-shore breeze is ESE, so the sea-breeze should be lining it up. Can we say park and ride?

I could hear the keyboard clicking/speaking....

I could go for a park and ride day. Had fun the last few days, but was more upwind tacks and plowing through soft sand than park and ride. But hey... anyday kiting is a good day :singing:

:dunno:
This may be a stooopid question... if registration is scheduled for 12 each day... as long as the tides and amount of people on the beach cooperate, we're free to buggy from sun up til sun down? (after dark is for turtles and pedestrians only.. if the turtles want to buggy, we'll just break out "Terrapin Station" and crank it up real loud and let them have their fun)

Yeah buggy anytime. There are no permit or access issues. I say 12:00 noon for practical issues with high tide in the morning, but am out there setting up early - 10- 11 am. Take it when you can get it. Weekdays few people on the beach so even higher tides might work.

East winds all week. ride ride ride

There'll be plenty of Arc experts there (not me... I'm a newb to Arcs ..) who I'm sure will gladly let you hook onto one. I'll gladly let you use any that I fly-- just don't ask for tips as I'm being dragged flailing and flopping across the beach...:tumble:

I cheat and carry a small cheap gas powered leaf blower (Inflato-matic) with me to the field. I have flaky winds where I fly all the time. You can sometimes get one for around $69 at Lowes, Home Depot.

ok so 10 knots is about 11.5 mph. What size kite will work for the buggy?

5m Beamer. 5m Ace, 7m Ace, 19m Venom are the largest kites I have. Smaller are 350 Hydra and 3m Beamer.

Wasn't thinking to much about bringing the Ace's but I don't have many to choose from.

Suggestions?
