Did I hear "Disc Golf? I'll bring my discs. JI doesn't have a course, but we could make one up.

As to me being the "safer" option, I think a little full disclosure is in order. No one was injured in my tandem last year, but I did have one brain fart and crashed the buggy straight into the surf. It was a rapid and very wet deceleration. It will likely not happen again, but the odds are not zero. The moral is, don't let me talk too much or I'll get distracted.

More disclosure: my philosophy on tandem is "If can't feel the G-force, you can't feel the G-force." When I have passengers I go up one size in kites to make sure I have the juice for some rip-roaring acceleration and some good top speed. You will absolutely have to hang on tight.

Philip

I fly: Charger II 6.5m * Charger II 8m * Charger II 10m * Scorpion 10 (for sale) * Phantom II 12m * F-Arc 1200 * Venom 13m

I ride: Peter Lynn XR+ on Midis * Flexifoil Midi/Barrow * Peter Lynn Comp on Barrows * Peter Lynn XR+ (needs a fork)

I build: Custom bars for buggy pilots

I write about kite stuff: at http://philipbchase.com

Gettin ready for the sun, sand and the sea.

Hello you all,
I'll be following PoKiteTrash down on Wednesday AM. Got to cover his back side and pick up whatever falls off the Kite Fort! :-)

Bringing down a newbie OOBE Field Dirt Diver. Actually he's got a year under his belt and is excited about buggy on the sand. He's a fast learner and a great all around nice fellow.

Angus has approved the new official JIBE 2013 T-shirt. Looks great! I'll be printing on black tees, a multi color print with a crest print on the front and a full color back print.

Angus needs to get those shirt orders in soon so he can get all the right sizes for everyone so please get registered asap.

There will also be event stickers to match for helmets or vehicles or what ever.

Looking forward to a great JIBE this year, see you all soon.:wee:

Also hope to be bringing a Blokart with the sidecar setup to see if it will work on the beach.

I also have a 1.5 SLE.
Wait until you grab hold of a Power Blast 2-4, or if you're a REAL (troglodyte) man, the 4-8!
I've only had the 4-8 up once in almost no wind. In 15 mph winds the 2-4 will abuse you about all a sane person could want.
Like the other kid said about Mikey: "TRY it , you'll LIKE it!" :bouncy:

Hey gang, I have a small 5 gal porter cable compressor and the attachment for tire valves so as to inflate tires. I was considering bringing it to share with the gang if anyone wants to add air to tires etc.

Would it be worth bringing, or is it just as easy to share a hand pump? I'm perfectly comfortable to leave it in the care of the kitefort gang.

If I brought it, would it be used, or is it just not worth it?

I have a 12v compressor that, with some coercion, is enough to set the bead on the rim in the case of tubeless tires.

I change my own motorcycle tires, so I have a really good set of tire irons I can bring if we're going to do this sort of thing. My bead breaker is a bit of overkill for these little guys. Someone should be able to jump on the sidewall with enough force to unseat the bead.
