It was a PL/Phanny 2 day...........................winds peaked around 3 to 4pm, 12 to 14 mph SSE..........................now for the
gravy...............the P2 is uber stable (no jelly fishing) grunty, and fast turning. The color schemes are eye catching. Adam called it right. He
described the P2 as a combo of the Scorpion and Charger. The thicker AR is very noticeable as is the VP3 bridle, and the trailing edge design to
increase low end performance. I flew the 15m static as it was still being tweeked. Easy to fly, direct feel, and depowered nicely. Actually, I was
riding my new 3.5m Reactor II (bought from BBob) and was loving it so much I was content..........................
I flew the 11m Escape on water. Winds were light for an 11 so I grabbed the 159 Door..................build quality and color scheme is very nice.
Canopy is solid (no flutter) and depower is very noticeable. What Phree and I both noticed is the power and speed of this kite. It likes to be flown
with the bar half way in. Power of kite and turning speed are sweet. The 11m turns as fast as my 9m Wainman. Many tuning options to be explored gives
the pilot many riding options.

Nicely done team PL...............

Yeah Adam and Scot are about the most spent looking dudes, having been at it since Wednesday with solid on-sore winds every day.. At least Adam put
the sun-block on this time.
This is the time of year that the sea breeze begins to turn on reliably and this week has been a fine example. Just could have used a few more knots
for the water guys. I was cruising in the 30's reliably all day, topping out at just under 37 mph in the buggy.

The Atlantic and Gulf sea-breezes converged west of us and battled it out with some big afternoon boomers. About 4:30 I dropped my kite and packed,
fearing we would get hammered, but it skirted around the island as the winds turned a bit more from the south. On the way home across the great salt
marsh, I drove through a great downpour, giving the buggy a well needed fresh water rinse.

I fear that the left-over moisture in the air makes today look a bit iffy with a higher than normal likelihood of afternoon boomers on the island.

I did get a chance to fly the Phantom 2 15m . Chad had tightened the internal straps for faster turning on the land board, which left the kite a bit
active for my taste but i had a good ride as long as I kept my eye on it. Good auto zenith while walking around as long as you tuned the center strap
just right. The kite is fast, sitting farther forward than the original Phanny, and turns faster, all with less bar pressure. Graphics on the kite
are un-inspiring, IMO but construction is good with lots of re-reinforcement and abrasion resistant patches at the tips.

Curiously, when de-powering to decelerate from high speeds, the kite really wanted to slow down, allowing me to out-run it, putting the kite far
behind me unless I really stayed on top of it. Wasn't like the original phanny where you could just let go of the bar and let it drift up as the kite
and buggy slowed down together.. At one point it shot so far behind me the only way to get it back in the window before I ejected was to tack upwind
quickly. This may be a tuning or trimming issue that I have to work on before I complain about it.

More later today if the weather cooperates.
