TOMORROW (SATURDAY) IS looking really really awesome.

Conditions are as follows...

8 mph South winds all through the night, jumping up to 15mph around 4 p.m. which then winds switch from south to south-east.

it's gonna be a bright and sunny kiteboarding day tomorrow with only a 20% chance of rain.:wee::wee::wee:

I am worry that the wind will stay south most of the day so plan to head to east beach so I can get a larger area that does not depend on wind direction. There's a nice large hard pack area at east beach that is great for land boarding.

so yeah today is looking ok i guess... a little too much cloud cover for my liking but i still might head out in a couple hours when the wind switches over to SE and maybe the sun burns off some of the cloud cover.:smug:

I'm looking forward to the 15 - 20 winds out of the south monday or tuesday before the cold front. Mid 60 degree temps... will have to try and do some wave hopping

Went down today around 10am. Wind was alot lighter than predicted. It was around 4mph until about 3pm when it picked up to 8mph and SE winds. Got a few good runs in but no world record :D with the 10m Scorpion. This kite is fun but freaking pain to launch in 4mph wind. :flaming:

Went to Stonehenge (Cement pilings near SLP of Surfside side of bridge). With a 19m Charger was able to ride several miles either way and come back in both the buggy and on the water. Winds were pretty light so I was like "No Way " is this going to get me kiteboarding.... but the 19M Charger lived up to what it promised.


On the way home, saw a synergy going along by the ttexas state park. I'm gonna guess Dylan was out buggying

nope... we must have another one near that we dont know about... maybe one of the 20 or so people that talked to me last year about getting into the sport maybe???

If the wind stays SE/ESE, I'll be down there. Sunday is good for me. How about we all try to come down this sunday?

anyone heading to galveston sunday? or surfside? looks like SSE so not sure if anyoen is going.

Sunday...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 4 feet. Areas of dense fog with visibility 1 nm or less in the morning...then patchy fog in the afternoon.


thinking about SLP in the morning..
may go ck out the Stonehenge on surfside side..

I will be at the Galveston Rv Resort in Dickinson from April 8th to May 4th. I will buggy any time I get a call. prefer SLP but I am a buggy #@%$#! and will go anywhere for wind.

I cranked up the tiller and got a 25 x 25 garden bed ready yesterday, and have spent most of the day today installing my irrigation system. Drip emitters for all the bigger plants, sprayers for all the smaller ones. Keeps my water bill and food bill low this way. Now to get a coupleyards of compost... and it will be time to plant :0

Seriously, though . . . anyone who went out there today; Can you give us a rundown?

Gambled that the last official frost date of march 12th won't happen and planted the garden... now to hit the levee tomorrow to kiteboard (and go by Seabrook for some shrimp). I always like going to the fish markets... and getting to kiteboard is added bonus.

How was Galveston? I didnt' get a chance to head down. We planned a BBQ with the family on saturday but it got moved to sunday so couldn't head down. Looks like we might be getting more SE winds this weekend.

Went down Sunday by way of 288 to Surfside. Flags on the way down were rip pin indicating a good 15 mph wind. Headed toward SLP , Saw the Stonehenge pylons Steve was talking about in earlier post ..campers there. Hit the pass at around 11am. no fog, pc skies, low tide . get out of the truck and a gnats fart for wind. around noon wind up to 12-13 south skies cleared .put up a 4 meter
and off to the water tower.been so long since I have bugged , forgot about the cross wind . 10 mins to get to water tower 40 mins to get back, on a tack . about 1:30 wind shifted t se about 6 - 7. put the 4.5 bora up in the air , played around close to the truck in the large sand mound between the water a the dunes.
second time out with the big foot tires. love it..left about 3:30.
logged 13.9 miles with max speed 20.9---not the best of days but a great day at the pass.
might have a full plate this week end--but if the winds are right , might have to do some juggling
