The Best place in the WORLD to live?

So i've been trying to find what could possibly be the best place in the whole world to live in every department, but of course kite surfing and landboarding must come high up the list!

Was wondering from the wealth of worldly experience everyones had on here where they would most like to live? I'd like to find my paradise early in life :tumble:

Well, Vancouver BC is listed as something like #3 on the list of best cities in the world to live in, and Squamish is about 45min out of Vancouver, the Squamish Spit is listed as #3 for kitesurfing in North America. That right there puts us somewhere in the running.

Then you take into account Whistler, world class ski resort and some decent snowkiting is 1 1/2 hr away, 5 different kitesurf beaches in town that catch wind from pretty much any direction for the winter months, Mud Bay on a low tide gives you close to 2 miles out to the water if you don't mind a few water hazards for buggies and ATB's. 3 local ski hills in Vancouver to chose from as well. Oh yeah, a construction boom going on right now as well.

Only down side, hard to find large grassy areas to kite on land, mostly mud bay.

WOW :wow: We're # 3

I think most folks who live in Van will agree we are # 1 in Canada.

All though you would think we would have Epic snow kiting it's not close to Vancouver  A bit of a shortage of good riding on land in the winter but the water season takes off in winter. In summer we have lots of good land riding + Sqaumish takes off.
Come up and see us some time !

Not Guam to crowded. I lived there 93-97. It's more crowded now. No place to land kite either.

Saipan is my #1 choice. Good kitesurfing but again no place to land kite. Kitesurf launches are somewhat limited as well.

I lived on Guam for 2 1/2 years and loved it (was not kitesurfing at that time). Saipan was very nice also!

I'm working on a Saipan trip for next year. I've been there almost 20 times total so far including the time I lived there. It's my favorite place on Earth besides Cocoa Beach.

But it's probably not the best place if you want to play all the various kite traction sports. Outer Banks North Carolina are pretty darn good for traction sports. I stayed there for a short summer back in 1999 and found many good places to kitesurf. Plus at that time there was only a couple of other kitesurfers there. I've not been there in quite a few years but I imagine there is restrictions on where you can fly. My favorite spot was directly behind the big Kitty Hawk dune. It was out of the way and not many people there during the week.
