A loss to the kiting community (PNW)

I heard the other night that Chris Philichi (aka "sand flea" here) passed away in late November 2023.

Chris lived in Oregon and was a common face to see at Sunset Beach (SOBB). One of the most friendly guys. Upbeat and always ready to ride his kite buggy. I know he made it to several of the NABX and IBX over the years.

I do not know any details at this time. I only saw it on Facebook and thought I would relay it back to where it all began for many of us in the PNW. I will try to update this post if I get any information.

He will be greatly missed.

May the winds be with you my brother.

Always sad when we lose a member of the kiting family. I hope Chris has good winds on the other side.

Enjoy every day you wake up folks. One day we all run out of time.
