20 miles of JI beach cruising today - perfect conditions.

Too soon to start JIBE Countdown?

Jim, I've tried to convince wifey, but we just got the house how we like it after 12 years, so there's no likelihood of that happening... One day we'll buy a vaca home though... Might be too old to kite by then... Or maybe I'll just be your age :lol:

For the most part there are a lot of downed trees. Currently sewage is not working and parts of the island don't have electricity, but the island faired well considering how bad the island expected to get.

Right - they are letting folks back 10 am tomorrow.

The evacuation was easy, the storm came early (not at high tide) and was further offshore than they feared.

The return has been a cluster.

Fallen trees and power lines down. 100% loss of electric.

Plus the lack of pumping stations.

I'll head home tomorrow PM
