Value check: 2007 spleene rip 34

I've got one. Don't know what it's worth. In pretty good shape, but it has see. Some usage. Got a friend interested in it, but no idea what it's
worth. Thoughts? Thanks!

$100. $150 tops. If it's very worn; could go for less the $100. Almost 10 years old now. That's ancient as far as kite gear goes.

I whole lot of the value is in the foot straps / pads. At that age they may be in total breakdown stage even if the board wasn't used much. ( like
mine ) If they are original then I agree $150 is tops. That is with the foot straps looking to have some more life in them.

Pics? I just sold my 2008 Session with Straps, Pads and Fins for $150, so I agree with everyone's assessment. That being said, boards hold up a LOT
longer than kites do. If you sell that 2007 session for $100 and pads / straps don't need replaced, you're hooking someone up with a sweet, cheap way
to get going -- I would've killed for that deal when I was getting started.

Also, compare prices on ikitesurf classified for earlier boards. Just be careful if you sell there as there are a lot of scammers.

Just supposing a guy (a pretty small guy at that) wanted to get into kitesurfing. Would this be a good board for that?

The pads were replaced, not original. Current pads are in good shape, but they are north pads and a little stiff. Board has a few minor dings, nothing
serious. Generally good condition. $150 is more than I would have expected for. Board of its age...
As for a starting board, this was one of my two starter boards (other board was a monster door). The board is quite stiff, as is pretty normal for
boards of that age. Riding it in chop can be a little rough. But if you ride in flat water, it's an amazing board. Lots of pop. Quick turns. Kids up
great. Just. Real fun board overall.

Thanks!

I've just gotten around to replacing my old cabrinha prodigy from 2007. Now the boards are almost all 10cm shorter and completely different designs.
But I am pretty sure you can still learn on an old board, as long as the bindings are still solid. I will probably still keep my old board, but it
depends on how much better the new tech turns out to be. Hopefully a lot, because I just paid money for something new and it better be worth the
upgrade.
