I'm a newbie and looking for others in my area that kite, I'm in Kankakee county about 45 min south of Chicago

well, I'm a NJ kiter. Though, I do travel to Hoffman Estates IL about 6 - 8's per year. If you have a spot, I could be convinced to bring a kite with me. won't be able to bring my bug though. I'd need to find somethng to ride while Im there.

Thanks guys for the info, aronma I really don't have a place to fly, my daughter and I just mess around and static fly in our back yard,was just trying to find out if there was a place people fly so we could go watch and learn.

must be a lot of flat parks in your area , i usually fly in Chicago , plainfield and Michigan an old airport
