DBBB2006 pics

Well, I finally got the KAP rig up and snapped quite a few.
I've separated them into a "Good" and "Notsogood" folder.

Each picture is ~400K.

I was trying to get a few shots of ya'll on your buggies, but my aim was a little off today. I really need to get the video feed attached (and put on another servo to zoom).

Enjoy!

Spence

Very nice!! Much appreciated by those who are dreaming of miles of beach and that famous Galveston smooth wind...

BTW, do you have any pics of your KAP rig? What size kite do you lift with?

Sorry - no pics of the rig yet.
It's on my to-do list - way down at the bottom...

I used a 78" Rok - Old Glory.

No tail was used to stablilize it - I just bowed the spreaders a little more than usual. The only thing I have to watch out for is that the rig changes the AOA, so the Rok has a tendancy to 'float/glide' (the rig weighs too much and pulls the nose down) - so I have to lower the towpoint - which then makes it tough to get it up high enough in the air to lift the rig.
