JIBE 2013- thanks

Just what to thank Angus, and any others that help put JIBE together. I enjoyed each and every day. Jekyll Island is wonderful, my wife enjoyed each day on her bike and walking while I played on the beach. Well worth the 3000 miles to get here. Again thanks for a great event, with great people to buggy with.
Oh, and Angus, the Wild Georgia Shrimp are great as well.

checked out of Brunswick GA at 6:45am sunday and hit the border at Buffalo NY by 11:15 pm - home by 12:45am (1,075 miles). Couldn't believe driving through snow flurries the last hour and half and calling for a high of 48 degrees today WHAT?
I think Fiona and are I are dumping sand and ready to turn around for Jekyll any time. Sitting on the deck and Fins having a #@%$#!tail in the sun and watching the kites

Thanks Angus for JIBE. Thanks to anyone who lent a hand in any way big or small last week. What a great week down there - had a blast playing on the beach with everyone and so much to see and do in the area. Loved every minute of it and looking forward to doing it again.

Mark
and i did get to see an alligator in a little pond a local told us about - knock 3 times on the wooden sign and 1 or 2 will come out

that's funny, I didn't catch that filter changing my drink order.

Next time I'll bring some stacking lines and we'll get a big stack in the air. Happy to tow you back, sorry i should have have had a cold beer in the back of the buggy bag for you to relax and enjoy the tow.

Fiona's already checking house rentals for next year.

Best JIBE ever! Didn't make it till the last 2 days but what a 2 days I had.

Thank you, thank you, Angus! I hope the turtles were happy with the donation.

Got to see a lot of exotic buggy equipment and stuff us mortals just dream about.

It was a great meet & greet as well. Lots of old and new faces and beards and hands to shake.
So many "Hi Davis' ' " I can't remember all that gave their welcomes but same back at you all.
Maybe next year we can all wear "Hello, My name is..." badges. :D

Again I want to thank "PO KITE TRASH" for the "Kite Fort", night security of all the buggys and most
of all for the COOKIES. they were awesome!

To "Big Kid" Jeff and Renee. You were great sports about the visit from the Toilet Paper ASSassins.
I'll bring razor blades and help with the clean up next year.:evil::evil::evil::evil:
Lots of good info about new equipment. Great demos. Thanks Jeff.

Thanks to Chris Shultz and HQ for coming down. Always exciting to watch you tear up the waves and fly. Your amazing.

And Drew, will you try a triple Phantom stack next year? I'll help tether. Enjoyed the show big man.

All in all I had a great time for the few short hours I was there. Next year I plan to spend the entire week on the island. Just an awesome place to buggy.

To all that attended, Your a great bunch of kiters. I truly enjoyed the fellowship and hope to see you all again next year. "JIBE ON"

I would like to nominate Michael Gaylan for the best new buggy pilot of the event!

We've been training at OUR "OOBE FIELD USA" for the last year and a half and I believed it really paid off for him. This was his first time at a beach, with good wind. No dirt diving.

He mastered the Zebra Z-2 by showing us he could up and down wind that race kite with a lot of skill.

Yes, he had a few OBE's, but he recovered fast and relaunched by himself several times. He then flew a Beamer for the first time and did very well with that kite. He drove the dog crap out of my buggy and had a good time doing it. Thank the Lord i had done a good job of slathering "Lock Tight" on all the bolts and nuts. It held up to all the punishment.

Therefore I nominate Michael Gaylan for the best new buggy pilot of the event!

He is also a member of the Toilet Paper ASSassin Team. Head of linguistics and white polish application. It's his fault Jeff, I just did the TP.

I want to throw out a big thanks to Peter E D Boyton. If you don't know Peter, he supplied most of the single line Eye Candy for the event this year.

You also saw him pilot a buggy with a 5 stack of Revs.. I don't know about you all but I was impressed ! The man can fly anything and with a lot of skill. He's good!!!!

Peter has a huge collection of all types of kites and I was pleased that he shared a few of his treasures with us.

He also uses some of them as ariel platforms for his cameras and he takes great overhead pictures. Not sure what he has from this year but i'll bet he has a few shots that we would like to see.

Again, thanks Peter for your display of unique and beautiful kites that graced the sky at J.I.B.E. 2013.
