3m Core bridle dimensions

Blew out a center A line bridle on my 3m Core Saturday. It really doesn't surprise me as it's become my favorite GoTo for the playa and gets a work out regularly. I suspected it was due because it just wasn't performing as clean and precise as it had in the past.

So, the question is, who's my best source for bridle dimensions or a complete, top quality re-bridling?

Thanks for your help.

I usually just measure the same part on the other side of the kite. Get them as close as possible?

I would agree with you as a rule but the Core has a certain amount of reflex designed into it so bridle dimensions are critical. I can't trust that the opposite side is right and highly suspect it's not because of the lack of performance.

John at www.PowerZoneKitesports.com or
Jeff and www.fixmykite.com could re-bridle it for you.

If you need bridle dimensions and bridle cord specs, contact Marijn. On PKF, he's -mj-

One would think Vliegerop would have had time to at least acknowledge one of my many requests for assistance by now...

Not favorably impressed in any fashion. PERHAPS this will weigh HEAVILY on my future decisions concerning where I spend my money.

YMMV and I certainly hope it does for your sake.

Who did you reach out to and how long was the message lag?

Despite the fact that we live in a "connected" world.... things still go awry with email, people travel on business, and personal life situations (births/deaths/medical news) still have to be factored in. Kite stuff is important, but in the grand scheme of things...

In the last few months, my life has been completely turned upside down and inside out. Would hate to think that anyone formed any lasting impressions during that time based on emails I might have been slow or remiss in returning.

When I last contact MJ regarding a technical issue on a kite, he replied in 2-3 day, which I thought was pretty good considering time differences, and the fact that I sent the email to his work email id on a weekend (factoring in that not everyone worships at the altar of Blackberry or similar deities).

Let me know if you want me to ping him, in case your email is being bounced to his Spam folder for some reason.

ATB,
Sam

Thanks, Sam. Please, don't bother MJ, I'm certain, as you point out, his plate is quite full. This really is nothing, just frustration with the recurring theme in today's market place; disposable shiny things with a tail light warranty and limited shelf life. That and I keep forgetting its a kite, not a Swiss watch.

Old racing adage:
Screw the chassis guy ! The four wheels don't know what's holding them together. Set corner weights, put some stagger in it and drive down into turn one until the flagman throws the red. If it sticks, you're a hero. If it doesn't, you're a legend. Either way, it's gonna be one helluva ride !

GREAT NEWS !!! Got a response from Vliegerop via FB !!! Looks like I might get some pointing data to work with. I'm not sure who to thank for the assistance but, THANK YOU!

This makes me as happy as a little girl...

oh, sorry, you probably didn't need that image floating around in your minds eye.

Understandable. Waiting for a garden fork in the mail. Would have sourced it local, but everything in the stores was essentially disposable and meant to last one season. Didn't matter where you went, it was all the same stuff with different brand names stuck on. All of it from the school of "good enough" (not).
