Hi folks,
I'm new to this forum but a few of you may recognize me from the British forums.
I'm running the Grand Canyon again in May and have arranged my flights to Las Vegas a few days early to provide contingency for problems, so I was
thinking about renting a car and heading to Ivanpah if conditions are good and I can find someone to ride with and borrow or hire some kit from.
I guess I should be able to get a permit now the non-NABX dates have passed?
I held off from posting until you guys got clear of that, looked like potential for problems but went off OK in the end?
Obviously I am flying with paddling kit so will have limited space/weight allowance for kite kit (also have limited options to store it whilst I am
paddling) so it all hinges on being able to hire or borrow a buggy and probably some kites locally (I will try to make room for a couple). Also whilst
I can probably read and follow the rules for the site on my own, I much prefer to ride with other people and it would be good to meet some of you!
Besides which I know from talking to some of the other British racers that have been in the past that I'll need to completely re-think kite sizes for
the playa surface!
So anyone up for it?
Jim
