Lugging gear while kite skating

I am planning a long trip. Part of the trip would be perfect for kite skating. Has anyone tried dragging an extra cart behing them with gear (approx 80lbs.)? Any suggestions or ideas on this are welcome.

Thanks,
kim

those who have kiteskied across greenland and antartica pull kayaks filed with gear belted to their waists, although i think it would not be practical to pull a cart on land. there is not much to prevent it from hitting you from behind as you stopped (etc.).

i have comfortably carried about 40 lbs in a small backpack. just big enough for some food, water, change of clothes, tent, tools, and some extra intertubes. a larger pack would work as long as it did not obstruct the kitelines, harness, or your ability to turn and adjust to terrain / wind changes (holes, mounds, gusts...)

planning a long distance crossing on skates? i'd love to see pics of that!
