Saw an add for a psycho 2 26m. They are looking for offers and I don't know it's value. Also how we're they for handling and windrange?? I'm 190lbs according to wiifit. What would the low end be land or water?? Are they stable enough for gusty conditions?? Or should I just walk away?

I just did a quick google search and came up with some answers to your questions. The only review I found said it goes at 7 mph and a 160lb guy on watter is overpowered at 12 mph. Flys and turns slow but you can get some small jumps. The only found one for sale and it sold for $430 back in 2008. Sound like not many were sold because who need 26m of kite? Arcs don't even get that big and 30% of there area is unused. Flying it in gusty winds sounds like a death wish being it is bigger than some paragliders and parachutes :o. Land use seems like it would be non-existant.

back when i was unrolling kites a lot more often than i am now (skill set was up to task) i tested one of these bad boys and passed.
power was not scary( iwas giving lot's of respect) but handling was waaaaayyyyy tooooooo sloooowwwwwwww to be of any use to me( i had [and still do have] a 17 Speed 1.5). park and ride scenario is all i can think of for this kite and i have no area to park and ride anything. would have been a bragging rights purchase only.

BTW something to keep in mind re: your previous 19SA2 thread... before i sold my 19 SA2 i was thinking of trading it out for a 15 or 17 SA2. 19SA2 handled great and stuff but i think i would have gotten more use from a 17 (or maybe even a 15) SA2.

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like its probably best to let it walk. Yeah rev I keep kicking myself that I hadn't jumped on that SA2 when you had it for grabs. Missed so many sessions since then. You saying going down to the 15 makes sense to cause it probably flies faster to make power in tighter spots. Those big 19m seem like the best bet though to milk the lowest winds that we always seem to be having. I'll hold out till I can get my hands on one.

I saw that too and was like "hmm" What put me off was this... with the 21, it's already pushing the low end - a drop of a few knots only will put the kite dangerously close to the not-going-to-fly limit...

Bigger, slower, and lower... decided I don't need I'd save the cash for another board, like a Nugget.

I think Kami has it. I doubt you could get any lower end with that, and if it dropped 1 knot, your out! But, my paraglider mind says...

My 1st instructor had a set of Phsycho II'2 the year they came out. He was a small guy and was riding well before the folks with big C kites.

Thing was it almost looked boring ? He moved back to blimps after 1 season.

Cool kite but I think more of a novelty than low wind tool since the Speeds entered the picture. The bridle system was super complicated.

Sounds like a common thought then that a big sluggish kite isn't as entertaining as a slightly smaller faster kite. Which brings me to another thought. As its obvious that I'm desperate to get sessions in and a big speed seems the ticket. I'm on the edge of ditching three kites in my quiver 12m speed2, 9m ozone frenzy, and 12m airush flow ft. Maybe swap the frenzy for the 6m access but not sure about that. If I could sell those three for good value I could get the rest together to pick up a used speed 3. I would hope that what I'm not getting out of these kites because of lack of wind all the time I would make up with sessions on low wind days. At 190lbs would I better make do with a 19m speed 3 and keep the 9m frenzy, or 15m speed 3 and keep the 6m access. I feel if I found a need for it I could grab either the 9m or 6m later if I found the desire. Or go for the bigger 19m and keep the 6m. Leaving a bigger gap in my quiver. I struggle a bit with the access because it was my first kite, has a rare color scheme, and is always reliable in gusty conditions. But if I had to pick a windrange I would say 12-30km/h brings the best conditions and anything under 25km/h is the most likely to happen when I have time to kite. :puzzled:

The quiver question is timeless. Who will ever know the best answer? It is worst when not getting any sessions.

True that I'm going batty. Woke this morning to 23km winds gusting to 38ish. That was 7:30. Packed gear, started car, got dressed, loaded car, made a coffee, tell wife Im heading out. Driving down road trees aren't moving much. Stop at big hill, climb it, check wind for ten minutes. Max wind was 17km/h on gust. Dropped to 5km by 10 and stayed there. :flaming:

i may have muddied the water a bit.
def wouldn't call the big 19SA "2" sluggish...compared to other big foils that is. (the Speed '1' series may be a different story)
i was super surprised at how well the 19m SA2 handled when i first got it...way way better response than my 17 Speed 1.5.
the big 'but' is this ...i mostly buggied...and the 19SA2 was great but the 'pucker:fun factor ratio' was pretty high at times.
buggies are way less rolling resistance than snow stuff and ATB. that's a big reason i was thinking a smaller SA2.
for you on snow it'd(19mSA2) be much more tame.
