I will firstly point out that this review is based on myself making the transition from a beginner friendly Peter Lynn Hornet II 4m and various other smallish kites and how it compared going to a full house fixed bridle foil.My decision firstly to make the move to a Twister 5.6m (bearing in mind im 14stone and like to landboard) was based on the fact i loved the quality of the Hornet i had owned prior, and on recommendation from Powerkiteshop.To be honest with a 4m although a good kite to learn the trade so to speak i eventually wanted more;the pull and the lift.I wont go into details of the package as im sure everyone is aware of the high quality of Peter Lynn products.I had a good year learning with smaller kites and im glad i took the advice from many an experienced kite'r,like many others i wanted to just go out and buy a Blade and just jump around,the best advice i was given was to firstly learn on smaller tamer kites and im glad i did,it really has stood me in good stead in regards to the Twister which incidentally i love to bits!.Upon first testing the Twister their actually didnt seem to be any wind!,but easily the kite launched! albeit it with working it left and right which in return gave a lovely pulling feeling i just could not believe that this kite in next to no wind would give the identical pull that my 4m Hornet would in 10mph wind!,i wasnt ever able to landboard on the grassy field with a 4m(well i could but i had to do some serious work) and in some way felt i was missing out on learning time which prompted the purchase of the Twister.I have been able to rapidly get more landboarding time than ever now,we normally only ever have sub 15mph winds where i live and it can be a pain;literally!,so felt a full house foil would be of benefit which it really has been,really pleased i made the move to the Twister really enjoyable kite,well made highly visible,well behaved but no doubt it would catch you out fairly easily with the power it can produce.I have yet to get out in higher winds but will add to this post.Many Thanks to you all for the advice,stories etc you all contribute to this site,it certainly helped me into this hobby with relative ease!

Just a quick update now the snow has gone and i have had the chance to get out with the Twister in 15-20mph winds.As a precaution i launched the kite at the edge of the window to avoid been pulled downwind especially with it reading 15-20mph on the Anometer!,very cautious to begin with immediately went up to the zenith and stood firmly stretched! at 14 stone it could easily just about take my full weight static!,jumps were very easy but i took it real easy as my arms were killing i didnt want to push my luck and get the harness out and hook in, all in all though made me feel very confident albeit a short session;just so much power i dread to think what it would have given had i swept it across the middle of the window! had ample power only going from 11 'o' clock to 1 and back again effortless riding,really enjoyable as always i treat it with the upmost respect so got no suprises!.

Recently purchased the Peter Lynn 4 line control bar for the Twister and loved it,seemed much more comfortable using it,when properly powered up and hooked in riding toeside was just so cool one handed!!!

Is this the crossover bar?

The review was in 2012. The Crossover bar was not released yet. It was released just a few months ago. I have a couple reviews on them on my video channel.
