Still swear by the Patrols for cold mean conditions. Lizard Skin Blizzard for moderate cold/spring conditions. They hold up well but not if you skim
with your finders or palms at speed, then they die in a season.
I used Dakine Cobras a lot last season and they held up well, probably a 2 winter glove for me. Patrols make 3+ winters with a little help from Duct
tape.

Too funny! It's all fun and games till you skim your fingers across the dreaded "Death crust".

Hehehe fair enough. No kidding tho, deathcrust shreds gloves, leather or otherwise, pant cuffs, forarm sleeves, flesh.....
All the glove I use have excellent finger dexterity and grip on the bar. The Patrols made out of leather seem to grip even if the bar has iced up a
little. The Cobras do almost as well but the synthetic stuff on the fingers is not as grippy. Grippy enough but not as good.

The Lizard skins are a synthetic glove made of fabric, doesn't deal well with death crust and if the bar ices they get icy as well. But they have
tacky rubber patches that help off set that even on the icy bar. But since I used them mostly during the spring season crust and ice aren't usually
an issue.

My guess is that that hardest thing for you is getting used to holding a bar with thick gloves on. I feel really wierd with a bar in my hand bare
handed. Not natural for me. Chris Krug-Owner @ Hardwater Kiting. Authorized Dealer of Ozone, Flysurfer, HQ kites.www.hardwaterkiter.com 603-986-2784
