busted boot

I cracked and split a boot. I decided not to bother with any attempt of repair when I saw the crack, took em out and had a great last session on an empty airfield. So now...

1) Either I put new boots on the frames I've got,

2) find new boots w/frames that have the same distance between the axels,

3) or drill some new holes in my bars:(

I telephoned a shop, which said option one doesn't work, so that leaves 2 (it's getting pretty frustrating searching) or 3 the swiss cheese solution.

What were the original boots on the frame?

Can you post pics?

How long/wide is the rail?

Not sure 2 more holes would qualify as swisss cheese.

Sam

You have powerslides and think you have a problem because you can't use your old " leg breakers " ?

Is it possible Karma is at work here ?

I would gladly hand over both my sets of Coyotes for 1 set of powerslides! :smug:

After an hour in medium length grass the powerslides have so much crap between the bearings and the frame that I have to take the wheels off to de-gunk. I didn't bother last weekend and let wet grass dry in there, now I have to replace all the bearings. Luckily I still have all the ABEC 5 bearings from the salomon Composite energyzer boots.

i got 'em for 18.50 on bay, this is the only pair I see currently:

I'll go down and take some pics for you sam later tonight, and measure the distance between the mounting holes on the boots.

Ken the only down side to the doom wheels is carrying them. They actually feel safer to me than the little wheels on variable terrain. I've had some good crashes on both.
