Im new to the sport of kitesurfing. I have decided to go for it and use some money on some new gear, that I hopefully can use forever :D

Well, I need some help. I have now idea what brand, model and size i should buy.

Here are my two suggestions:
Best TS v2 with Best Spark

F-ONE Bandit 6 and F-One TX
__

What do you think about these packs? What would you choose? Would it be better, to get last years F-ONE Trax than these boards?

Do you have any other suggestions to some packs?

And what about size?
I live in Thy (Cold Hawaii) in Denmark and weight about 75 kg (170 pounds)

Hi, Welcome to the forum, cold Hawaii is Tiree in Scotland....

To be honest the make and model of kite and board is not going to be very important until you get onto doing advanced stuff.

You want a fairly big board around 140cm and a medium to low aspect (width) kite.

The Spark will be fine.

The kite should be designed for "Freeride" - which means it will be an all round kite good for speed, jumps & wave riding but not exceptional at any discipline.

Best Kahoona, Naish Park, Cabrinha Crossbow, Slingshot Rally, Ozone Catalyst, North Neo, F-one Bandit, Airush Lithium to name a few by the brands i know anything about.

What's more impotant to get right is the size (or sizes) you get. I started on a 12m (I weigh the same as you) but quckly found there were so many 20 knot + days that i needed a 9m. I use the 9 way more than the 12 now.

I would get a 12 & a 9 if you can. If you can only get one then it depends how much wind you get. If I did it all again I would start with a 9m because i get lots of 9m weather and kite surfing is most fun in these conditions. If you are regularly going to have to ride in less than 20mph then get a 12.

You could compramise and get a size in between 10, 10.5, or 11 which would give you a good middle wind range but i can't really comment as i have not used kites of these sizes yet.

See what other people say and do some more research anyway. let us know what wind speeds you get there.

New gear is lovely, but you may thrash it while you're learning... if gashed up gear breaks your heart, buy used.

At 75kg you are the perfect average kiter - all the wind range charts will be accurate for you. You just need to figure out what the 'average' wind you get in your area is.

I would suggest that unless you have kicking wind, you first buy a lightwind board to make learning easier - something like 144x46. Then you can increase your wind range of your kites by getting a smaller board...
