Help with Board Sizing
So I am giving a lesson to a female who is about 125lbs about about 5'5. She asked me about board sizes and while I can recommend it for men I never
really thought about it for a woman. I was thinking a smaller board since she is only 125, maybe a 134? Or should I think along the lines as a bigger
board like a 140? Any help?

easily powered by an 8M /10M KITE AND 125-135 board, concave even better. slick will make it too quick and slippery for a newbie under 15mph.
prolly not much more.

Mostly,
How wide is the board? It will work well for her if it's in the 40 to 42cm range........nfleech's gf learned on a 139 x 40 and 9m kite. Both now
belong to her.   :duh::duh:

Tri, learning probably won't be such a big deal since I could always let her start off on my bigger boards. After searching a few of the companies
(best, crazy, north, Cabrinha) Cabrinha seem to be the only company I can find that has a sizing chart which recommends, for her height, a 130-133
size board. I have a good feeling that this particular girl is going to want to be out there pulling tricks so I am trying to maximize the buy with a
solid board, a 139 sounds like a big board to be throwing around.
It's so much easier to size for guys.
The one good thing is that a lot of companies have women specific equipment, the only question is that does it make a big difference for women to ride
this stuff or if it's just marketing bs.
PKF rules...:bigok:
