Dimitri Pro Skywalker

I recently purchased a used but excellent conditioned Dimitri Pro Skywalker 135x48. I've read many positive reviews over the years and spoken with a couple previous owners about this board as a light wind, all rounder board. With the feedback I received and what I've read I purchased one and took her out for a spin last Saturday. Man this board delivered.

Winds were 18 to 20 knots all afternoon. I could have ridden my 9m but instead chose the 12m Wainman. Mowed the lawn for about ten minutes to get a feel for the board. Sets and holds a nice edge even in a somewhat overpowered state. The thinner flex tips prevented splashing to the face and cut thru the chop well. The shorter length gives here a sporty lively feel that releases well on transition turns. The width provides excellent upwind capability and very stable.

Once the lawn was thoroughly moved it was time for air and waves. The board has great pop meaning it jumps very well. I'd say the board gives me approx five more feet of elevation over my KGB. The extra width provides a stable base when landing which comes in handy with the extra elevation. After a few jumps it was time to cruise some waves.

Again the shorter length and liveliness is great in the waves on cut backs and working down the line. The tips don't dig or pearl which is a huge plus on a face and the width again provides a stable platform.

I haven't been able to check the low end of the board but 9/10 mph on the 17m Zephyr will be sweet.

All in all a great first session with many more to come. If you find one for sale don't hesitate. This is truly a great all round board.................

Interesting! That sounds like the exact same dimensions of the Epic Oxygen, which is their "light wind" board...

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

I was under the impression that they're not available at all:

first nice wave session Wed afternoon..................winds were lightish, 13 to 15 mph.........upwind is very easy with this board...........Ive got smaller fins on her (1.5s) for a loose, skatey feel in the waves but the edge sets strong.............easy to switch on flats or waves.......no tip pearling............great pop and surprising range........ Ive been up to 20mph with a 12m Wainman.......extremely pleased at this point.............:lol::duh::duh:
