ready for harness?
Man! glad I got into Kite Landboarding!!! Ever since I had my board, I went out almost everyday practicing. Boy, isn't that fun or what!
The only down side it that my girlfriend complaining that I spend more time with my kite than with her. Solution? Trying to buy her a small kite

Ok, now I am able to move back and forth, I think it is time to get a harness. I saw some Dakine harness on ebay but is it just for Kite surfacing or
can I use it for landboarding as well? (I am thinking if it is just for Kite Surfacing then it is more water resistant, which I don't really need for
landboarding). Any other brand you guys can recommend?
Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you, all.

I got a HQ seat harness from Scoopy. Works very well.
Are you on handles or a bar?

Our best selling harness is the Dakine Fusion Harness. This harness can be used for kite surfing but it works just fine for land boarding as well.
The Fusion has awesome back support and the leg straps are designed so they are very comfortable and secure (they dont pinch ya where it counts). The
Power Clip system on the Dakine Harness's is one of the best systems we have found. The nice thing about the seat harness on the land board is that
it does have some decent padding on your backside and the construction is very durable. I recommend the seat harness on the land board over a waist
harness because it does lower your center of gravity more and gives you a little more protection.
Stay away from the Dakine Nitrous shorts - these are awesome for kite surfing/water use but not recomended for land use. The material is quick drying
nylon and quite light and could get torn up pretty quickly on land. For water the Nitrous Shorts work excellent and a lot more stylish than the
bigger more bulky seat harnesses.

Ok, either HQ or Dakine it is. For now, I only have a Bullet 3.5 with a bar. Dying to get a Blade III but can't find it anywhere within my budget.
I think I will end up with a used Bullet 5.5 in the near future.
I will look up HQ or Dakine on ebay but any other suggestions are still welcome. Thanks.

There are a lot of guys here on the forum that sell gear also (other than ebay).
I've purchased a bunch from Scoopy and a few kites from Fireball - both very easy to deal with.
Give them a chance first...

You may want to skip the harness for now and put the $100 towards a kite with more lift. Just an idea...

For the learning stages a seat harness is the way to go, you'll be spending lots of time with the kite overhead and a waist harness will work it's way
up.
Even now that I'm used to being powered up and keeping the kite low, I find my waist harness starts riding up when I send the kite high to jump.

That was another thing I was wondering about. I guess seat harness makes more sense for landboarding.
