Alberta Meet Up Again

Sunday? Looks like Sylvan might have some fun wind to use from 10:30 to 3pm. Dieter just got a hall pass, I've got one and we thought we'd check to see if any southerners want to come halfway again otherwise he and I will hook up up north here.

kitedelight - you were down there (Red Deer / Sylvan) this past weekend weren't you? What was it like?

I'm itching to see the local gang at Cooking but if I had to choose between seeing them or seeing PKF family - PKF wins out anytime ; )

You guys still want to meet at Sylvan? I could push on to Cooking if you think it will be better up there. I need to get out on a wide open snowfield.

It is Chinuuking down here - high of 9C today. I got picked up by a 50kph gust while turning with my fully depowered "not lifty" 8m Access yesterday- gotta keep it lower ... Not enough snow cover for a soft landing but at least I avoided the dog poop minefield.

No wind up here for tomorrow - Sylvan still looks like the best bet. Peaks at a whopping 13knots around 2pm I think.

Looking forward to it - and seeing D again. Kite is on it's way here this evening for you, will bring it along and we can look it over together tomorrow. Saw a few optimists out on the lake (Cooking) today.

I wish I could come down for this. Found a decent field and got set up. As my luck woils have it, the wind dropped from 24km to 13km. Checked the weather on the hour, and it showed 17km soon to be less for the rest of the day. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

It was great to see you guys again and share fresh snow and good wind. Overnight snow was almost all melted when I got back to Calgary. Hope your drive home was not too bad.
