A short clip of 19m Venom on wintry Cedar Lake

Just a short clip of a session we had on Cedar Lake with my PL 10m Venom.

The main purpose was to get my latest franken bar tuned in.

The wind started out at 6mph and moved up to a whopping 8mph.

We gave it a shot anyway...... nothing to exciting but we got the bar mods dialed in......

yup.....standard ribbed barrows..... most of the runs were sideways.... I did manage to get a few other good jibes in but it was sure hard to hold a line even in those light winds......

this was the best run of the day and I was fighting to keep the buggy in line.....no speed record there..... you can see my free arm flopping about every now and then..... just trying to use some body english to help keep that little radbuggy going straight..... it was a hoot.....

Did you inflate it with a leaf blower or something? I can never get them inflated enough in that light of winds.

So much room though! And theres snow! So jealous.

My son holds the inflate open while I do most of the set up and layout..... then we only have to top off with an LEI pump. I am going to get a rechargeable leaf blower someday, but since I have a 16 year old that can do the pumping for me to top it off I haven't got one yet.....

Don't let the snow fool you...... if you drove around the lake you would see a big zero for snow cover..... what is on the lake is maybe one inch of snow that hasn't blown off yet....... you can see the grass in my backyard at home and there is no snow on the local hills for sledding.....

Cedar Lake is the magic spot..... 12 inches of ice.... 15 minutes away at Hatfield Lake there is still open water..... go figure......

Nice space. Never seen that color combo on the Venom. Looks good. Are those the q-powerlines from Dakitez? What did you do for the safety? I see the mickey mouse ears spinning front line swivel.

@stetson05.... I don't know if I would call it a relaxing session.... it was def goofy and full of laughs.... most runs were sideways.....

gotta say Bigbear....love that vintage 16yr old.......

@AD72 - I got that Venom from bigkahuna... he had beat me to it earlier from G-force and I believe I was told it is a custom color combo..... It is the only one I have ever seen in those colors..... yup....q-powerlines from Dakitez.....custom amsteel pigtails by g00fba11..... The safety leash hooks into the TE ring but the way I have the bar rigged it can also hook into either ring by the mickey mouse ear swivel so I have 4 points on this set up I can hook the leash into so depending on where I hook the leash I can flag out on any LE or TE line. It uses the PL 07 QR and Best 09 depow strap set up.

Low wind sessions are not relaxing. They are a workout with a big kite and long bar. Nice bar setup.
