Help with sizes - POWERSLIDES

Hi everyone- This is my first post on the Kite Skating forum of PKF- I currently kiteboard, buggy and landboard (a very little), but after watching John's video of Spartan on his Powerslides I am seriously thinking of ordering a pair!

Here's my question. Shipping back and forth to Germany is going to get expensive if I get the size wrong. On the website they say to order a size or so larger than normal, but depending on manufacturer I wear anywhere from a 10 to 11 US.

Does anyone who owns these have any comparissons to the sizing of known brands such as Nike Sneakers, Innov8 sneakers, or Vibram 5 fingers? The five fingers would be ideal, since it's such as exact fit.

Thanks in advance!

Good question. A pair of PowerSlides is on my wish list. I have the same questions.

Midgaar on the forum here ordered some and I believe he has them. You may want to send him a U2U.

I don't know how often George is on this forum...may be worth putting a post on the ExtremeKites site (Aus). He's usually on there several times a week. I think you need 5 posts to use the PM system, but if you start a thread asking about Powerslides, he should pretty well be the first to respond!

Those skates are very tempting!!

We wear about the same size Mike. Normally I'm a 10.5 US.
I have a pair of Powerslide freestyle skates (short frame with rockered wheels, 80mm inners, 76mm outers) 10.5 fit perfect, 10 a bit tight, and 11 too much room so they run pretty true...at least these do.
Can't wait to try YOUR Powerslides to campare to Coyotes ;-)

Haha Jaymz- fine by me- just so long as your on grass or sand and not the FBF tarmac!

BTW- found an old post of yours looking for skate info- did I read correctly that you have a pair of Rockville LEAP skates? Would love to try those out since we're the same size

I ordered the Powerslides from Germany too. I wear a size 10.5 US shoe and the skates I ordered are a tad too big. I'm pretty sure I ordered the size 45, but I'll confirm when I get home tonight. I took the website's advice and ordered a size larger, but I shouldn't have. I haven't had enough time on them to do a review or even form an opinion yet, once I do I'll post something.

EDIT: I did end up swapping the boots out for my aggressive skate boots. Much more comfortable and the sizing is a non-issue now. I would like to add the skates I got, while looking VERY similar to spartan's, are not completely the same. I must have gotten last year's model because the boot is one piece and not shoes that step into a boot frame. I'm pretty sure the frames are the same however.
