Lightwind TT: Nobile XTR or Flydoor

Im going to get a lightwind specific twintip for 8mph-16mph conditons. I have a 15m Matrixx foil and weigh 85kg.

I am interested in the Nobile XTR (143 x 48), Flying carpet (160x46) or the Flydoor (163 x 46).

People say the XTR is a fun ride but I am not sure if I will get going in 8-10 mph- my weight is 87kg. On the other hand will I be able to hold an edge on a Flydoor if it gusts up to 20 mph?

Frathouse has the Flydoor XL and can probably speak better to its high-wind capabilities. However, I can say that I"ve seen him ride that board and his 15m kite in 20mph winds. He was holding his edge just fine. May not have been the most comfortable ride, but he seemed to be doing just fine.

Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the other boards, as I have never ridden them. Hope this helps. :)

I love my Flydoor XL - which is 170x50 ... you not looking at the Flyrace are you?
I ride it all the time. For my height and weight, it's long and flexible but stiff enough for a bit of pop. I've had it out in 30 knots with the smaller kites.

I'm not in love with the foot straps - they're tough to adjust and seem to loosen up easily. And the piping on the edges of the pocket on the strap comes off easily - I'm about to moan to FSer about it cos it looks bloody ratty and I've only used my Flyradical maybe 3 times :(

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Sigma,

Could you post a review of your Flydoor once you receive it?
