I just bought a Blade Fat Lady and am new to kiteboarding, but I've been flying foils for 3 years. I've had my kite out about 6 times now and feel like I'm ready to give it a shot on the water.

I was wondering if anyone here had any information on Edgewater Park, Cleveland, Ohio - such as launch spots and other advice.

I want to be as safe as possible and not take any risks. I know this usually means taking a lesson, but because of my geographic location, that is hard for me to do.

Another guy from Akron / Canton was asking about kitesurfing on lake erie recently in this same area of the forum. Might want to PM him.

Here is a messaging group of northern ohio windsurfers, they should know the kiters in the area (and probably have some kiters among them).
