Saturday 5AM departure to Jekyll Island

Just thought I would throw out a last minute shout and get some feedback on my abbreviated quiver for the trip.

Those that have flown Jekyll what is your opinion on the following?

2.8 and 3.8m Reactor II's, 5m Crossfire II, 6.8m Viper, 10m Venom, 13m Venom II?

I will have my rad buggy with and my 15 year old will have his GI Flight.

My 2 young ones will have a couple of Pansh Flux 2m.

I can't believe I was able to get the wife's Okee Dokee on this much stuff.

I am so pumped to get to some clean coastal winds for the 1st time. It will be like learning to fly all over again.

Thanks in advance for your opinions...../advice

Sounds like a decent quiver to take. When I was there for JIBE, I only used my 18 phanny and a 5.6 viper. Not sure what the winds are like right now,
I am sure Angus or Phree may be able to speak of that better. If I am not mistaken I think Scott AKA flyguy will also be down there with his son
Andrew this weekend. Great couple of Dudes to hang with. Totally enjoy yourselves and be safe!

I will be down for a week. Scott had already pinged me but we are going to miss. I don't have a bar yet for my 19m Venom and I don't know about
trying it on my 53cm bar otherwise I would sneak that one in also. I am planning on picking up my low wind foil from beamerbob when I get back from
vacation. Was going to grab it before but my wife put the brakes on that one until we return.

Angus told me to give him a call when I got into town. We will see what unfolds. If there is no wind, hopefully there will be some beer. I will
have to find out what his schedule looks like.

Tridude how is your status? I know you had said you might consider dropping down.... anyway shoot me your contact and maybe we can meet on the way
through or back.

No doubt about that. The basic itinerary my wife put together is:

Monday: Timucaun Ecological and Historic Park in Florida....
Tuesday: Cumberland National Seashore
Wednesday: Jekyll Island Sea Turtle Center and Kiting
Thursday: More Jekyll Island Touring and Kiting
Friday: Finish off a couple of hours locally and head to Asheville, NC to spend a couple days in the Smokey Mts before heading home.

I have to find the post with the directions to the rope swing.......

As always the vacation will be way to short......

Just watch out for the deer! They are everywhere! You will definitely have a great time! Might see some Coyotes if you do any night time travel. Saw
two on our way home from JI!

Coming around the corner tonight after a last second Walmart run I almost took out a doe and her 2 fawns...... Looks like I won't get a break from
the deer down there either.......

I made sure we are all carrying a camera this trip. So hopefully one of us will come up with some great wildlife shots......

Just completed 785 miles from home to Clarksville,TN.

Hope to arrive in Brunswick around 4 or 5pm local time.

Also hoping to get an education on these arcs I recently got myself into. It will be great to watch some experts fly and hopefully get some
pointers.

Gotta get out to eat and back to get sack time for tomorrows drive.

Goof kite beach is where the fins restaurant is. Park in that parking lot cross boardwalk bty the restaurant and you are there. Angus mentioned to
me if facing ocean go towards the left. You will see the wind gauge by that lot. Have fun. "purse". Gotta love the auto spell check

Hey Scott, Well, We must have been close to the right spot.... saw some buggy tracks. Went over the big suspension bridge and took the left into
the park. Went in through the gate after paying the parking fee. Went straight to the T in the road. road closed to the left for construction so
we went right and pulled into the first lot. Don't know how close we were to the "right" spot.

We were able to get the 6.8m Viper airborne this evening and my oldest boy "Chips" and me had some fun. Got some video and will shoot it up soon.

Off to Florida tomorrow AM. Hopefully get back in time to find Fins and the wind gauge.
