Coyote brakes

Ben trolling old post on Coyotes. I take it the general conciseness is to pull the brake off??
I cant wait to test em out. But I think I'l hold off till after Earl & Fiona ship-out. No wind in the forecast till then any way.

take it off, the flex in the boot is more important ..actually a hindrance. in a video, that i made last year, before i took off the brake , you can see the brake catching as i am working down wind ...about 0:56 sec ...every right hand turn grabs, if the knees are more forward the brake is not actuated.

drop it.

Hey Phree what size kite was that? I am building my own set of skates in my own way :D All I have are FB kites for the buggy but Pokitetrash forced me to try his Phantom 15m this summer all I did was mostly hold it and move side to side. But it was pretty cool and I knew it would happen. Now I want to give D-Power a try. What is the smallest you can run on skates well with?

If you are talking smallest kite. I use all sizes depending on the wind + terrain. For jumping 7m Pulse or 10m Charger are my minimum.

For wheels, coyotes have 6" x 1.25" pneumatic.

Yes , I remove my brake.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

@roc ...13m V I ....i have used a phantom 15/ and V I 16.

like BR states size to the wind.

best sessions 10-15mph. any kite thats powered will be fine.

with smaller kites you have to pass deeper into the powerzone and creates hard to manage side pull. keeping things higher lessen the chance of snatchy pullovers...which comes with a nasty drag that will eat your hips
