First NABX, now on hold
Fate certainly has a cruel hand. In the mist of finishing up quiver purchase, supplies, etc. fate dealt a cruel hand. Wife recently in a 55+ headon.
Informed her that NABX on hold for now. She gave me a dirty look, and said like hell it is. Gotta love her.
But until we get the clear from the doc for her to walk NABX will have to continue without me. Which means, I won't have the chance to totally
embarrass Rip.

Discharged her Monday. She's got a broken right ankle, broken left collar bone, and a broken breast bone. She has told me to plan on going, but
we're gonna have to take it day-by-day.
Rip Monty still has the RII. Gonna have to set up a day to get it from him. Oh wait I already have. Cool thing is the wife is now paying attention
to weather and wind. Sunday was fairly decent with moderate wind. She looked out the window in her hospital room and said "It's so nice out, and
there's some wind. Do wish you didn't have to be sitting here in the hospital worrying about me." Had to excuse myself from the room.
Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I'm just glad to still have her.

Wow, I am glad that she is pulling through ok. Be sure to send her our best for a speedy and full recovery. Family is the most important so if you
can't make it then we all understand. There will be other NABX events - and we head out pretty much year round - not quite as awesome as NABX but the
next best thing if you need to postpone for a month or two.
Best of health to you and yours!

Well fellow pilots we got GREAT news from the ortho surgeon. No surgery needed. She is progressing better then they would ever believed. She greats
a walking boot on March 3rd, and she has informed me that I will be going to NABX! She was so serious that she made me make my room reservations on
the phone in front of her.
Deano, she said to say thank you for the offer of free registration, however she said she would rather stay at home watching NCIS, Criminal Minds and
House!
Thanks for all the well wishes, and see you all on the playa.

Problem with the crystal patches is I know Jon all to well. I'm guessing that the crystal patches are real close to that place where he found the

WOW a broken breast bone. I did that 25 years ago in a roll over on the race track. 5 point harness not ajusted right I guess. It was a while before I
could breath deep or laught without real discomfort.

Your wife is the greatest. Example; the time she pulled you out of a puke filled tent and took you to a hotel and washed you off and put you to bed.
Now that's a great wife.
The funny part was the next day when you came to buggy camp to get your buggy.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

No problem, it will still be good next year should she want to come, you just contact me, and we'll make it happen.
Best of luck. I know what it feels like, and support goes a very very long way!
Would you mind putting up a mailing address so we can send her a card?
