Static flying in light wind.

Last Friday the forecast was 15-20 E wind. Got out to the jetty it was only 5-8 SSE so my buggy turned itself into a tripod for the camera.

If you ever need to convert anything, Google has a neat tool built into the browser that lets you do so.
Just type what you need converted right into the search bar. Like this:
5 mph to knots -or- 5 mph to kph
You can also do weights and measures:
14 stone to pounds -or- 3 meters to feet
Just a helpful tidbit for ya'll if you haven't discovered this before.

Yeah I know :embarrased: I was making a lame joke about all the different measurements we use ... weather sites here all use meters per second so that
and knots are no problems ... but mph and kph take too long to figure out
I've actually got a chart in the kite box in my car that has all the conversion charts and wind ranges for my kites ... I'm an anorak!
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

I'm right there with you Kamikuza. I just measure all my wind speeds in knots for consistency, since that's what I use as a pilot.

Hey Kami is easy to work out KMH to knots
if wind speed is 20 kmh is approx 10 knots
divide by 2
Experience is something you get, just after you need it!

The weather forecast webpages here are usually in meters per second ... double that, you get knots. Double that, you get kph. See, miles per hour just
don't fit in anywhere
