NOOB advice rqd - General kiting land access rules?
Hi
So I have just received my new Rage 3.5 and just wanted to get clarity over the areas where I can and can't use it in the UK.
On the local beach we have the 'windzone', and to fly you have to be a member of one of the three clubs which control the area. When you sign up
(which I think is somewhere between £13-£30) you get insurance and the clubs do race days and meets etc. I am considering signing up to one of the
clubs but wondered if it was 100% nececary to fly my kite.
Q1. Am I able to go further down the beach to kite outside of the windzone area without becoming a member of one the clubs? (free world n all that!)
Q2. Do I always require insurance no matter where I fly my kite? If so how do I get insurance for flying in local fields etc?
Q3. Can I fly in any local field, or must I ensure that it is a public space? does there have to be a sign saying that you can fly, or a sign saying
specificly that you cannot fly?
Advice appreciated

Bump
I have always wondered how all this is controlled in G.B.. You folks are way ahead of us with insurance and all.
Will someone stop you from kiting ( playing ) on a school field in G.B.?

I'm not sure how it works in the U.K., but I have found here in the US (at least in my neck of the woods) if you approach the landowner with the right
attitude (you are asking to use his land after all) and explain a little about the sport, especially the safety precautions you take, they will often
let you use their field, at least the farmers around here, its winter and they are not being used right now. During hay season, they might direct you
to fields they dont mind you flying/riding in, such as vacant cow pasture, but watch out for the cow-pies!

Where are you located? Are any of these clubs in your area? I expect they would be able to give you a more definitive answer. Like bobalooie said, private land access is probably just
a matter of manners and diplomacy. Public land access is mostly likely covered by local ordinances that may or may not be obvious.
