Advice on OBX

We're planning a trip to OBX at the end of April. This is not exclusively a kiting trip and will include non-kiting relatives so I need to find a place that is on the beach but is close to restaurants and shops. I can drive some to kite if necessary. Does anyone have any clues? Please advise! Thanks in advance!

hey dog , it is pretty much all beach,shops and resturants everywhere. the best spots are 1) kitty hawk(lots of kiting, and those BIG beautiful dunes 2) oregon inlet( go yellowfin tuna fishing w/ offshore fishing fleet) 3)cape hatteras 4)nags head 5)avalon 6)corolla The OBX pretty much is all the same Beach,shops,and resturants ,one big tourists trap. Just bring money ,and plenty of it.
Being a kiter you have to go to kitty hawk, it is like kiter mecca.
