Ft. Walton Beach Park, FL

Has anybody been to Ft. Walton Beach Park in Florida? It was recommended to me as a good place to practice water kiting. The shallow water in the protected bay is supposed to be perfect. Anyone?

Thanks for the info. From Atlanta, it's a bit further than Tybee, St. Simons or Jekyll but the shallow, flat bay water sounds pretty sweet.
