- SOLD - Peter Lynn Comp XR in VG condition $300

j0fer - 30-10-2017 at 08:10 AM

Peter Lynn Comp XR in very good condition. Pictures should do it justice. In one pic there is some fuzz where I bet a tag was removed, it's not a rip. If I wasn't lazy I'd clean that up and take a new picture.

Shipping should be around $40 I think.

Ok I haven't been on here in a while...working on how to get these images to render.

I have a downtube....wide fork and bigfoot lights to go with this if you want.....I'm thinking about 300.00 for all of it. The rims are the PL ones with the blow out valve....I purchased this all from Angus at East Coast Kite Sports. I can bring it with me to WildWood in the spring or box and ship for you. I can get great deals shipping as it will be for a commercial location and packing materials are free so...just the charge.

I have XR+ with a cracked fork that needs to be replaced. Do you know if I can put the BF fork on the standard downtube? What would that do to the geometry of the buggy?

All XR+ parts are interchangeable between the BigFoot and regular XR+. For example you can piece by piece morph an XR+ to a Bigfoot.(and BTW, you can put a Bigfoot downtube and fork assy. on a Flexifoil frame). A BF fork on an XR+ will just raise the front a few inches but should not significantly affect the rake and trail.

Highflyingkitenut - 6-3-2018 at 03:57 AM

How much for the downtube and fork shipped to 32605? I don't need the tires.

Angus,

This is intriguing. So does the reverse work? Can I install a Flexifoil downtube and front fork onto an XR+? And if I did, is the Flexifoil fork wide wheel enough to take a wide wheel? I.e., I have 16 x 6.5-8.0 wheels that are about 5.75" wide mounted.

I really want to keep the XR+ going.

And are the foot of the XR+ compatible with the Flexifork?

acampbell - 12-3-2018 at 04:47 AM

"And are the foot of the XR+ compatible with the Flexifork?"

Huh? Foot?

The bolt-hole size and spacing for downtubes is the same for both bugs.

And yeah the wide wheel will fit the front of the Flexi. The hubs are identical. I have wides on my Flexi

Oh sorry. I meant foot pegs. I need to hire an editor for my posts.

It's great to hear so many parts compatible. That gives me lots of options. :)

Thanks,
Philip

My apologies, I am SO sorry. For some reason PKF did not notify me that there were posts on this thread. I did get notification of new U2U's which I will answer. I'm traveling this week and in all-day meetings (yay), so I may not respond immediately.

Thanks!
Joey

Angus,

What's the interior diameter of the tubes the foot pegs of the Flexifoil fork slide into? I'm hoping to put XR+ foot pegs into a Flexifoil work.

Phillip
On my current Flexi Scout, the foot pegs are welded in place, and suddenly I cannot remember that configuration on the earlier stainless bugs. Looking at the WayBack Machine for archives of my own site, I cannot find that detail. Surprisingly the current Flexifoil site does not even show buggies. I think the earlier ones were welded too. I'll have to search archives of all my back-up photos.

Sorry for the late reply. That e-mail address is jacked up on my iPhone and I check my desk every couple of days.

acampbell - 21-3-2018 at 07:09 AM

OK, so looking at archives, the earlier flexifoil foot pegs were indeed bolt-on, but I cannot divine the specs. Sorry

I might just have to order the Flexifoil foot pegs with the fork and downtube. Better safe than sorry when shipping from the UK.

Or is there a source in the US?

Check with Kent at A Wind of Change

Thanks for all your help, Angus. I sent messages to Kent and the Extreme Kite Shop in the UK today. I need those parts!

The other person who may have buggy parts is Mike:

https://bigmikeskites.com/

Not sure what he may or may not have on hand...
