I am currently in a peterlynn comp XR+ with a ton of mods and i still have my apexx but it looks like i will be selling it today, as one of our crew that was down at nabx this year is now looking for a racebuggy after being out on the playa wishing he had a bigger machine around him. i couldnt make it this year ,took the family over to maui for three weeks and that was all good but when i got home and recieved my daughters cell bill for 2400 bucks which depleted my nabx fund.o well live and learn ,kids gotta love them , i bet i cost my dad some cash along the way haha

Three weeks in Hawaii + roaming charges + teen aged girl? :dunno: It wouldn't take too long. Sorry for the sticker shock. Gotta love them kids, and today's tech. They understand everything, except where the bill goes.

Long distance relationships... it all starts with a shoe to the head.... sigh.

Definitely sticker shock. :o One of the first things I do on a cell phone is lock roaming down, so that I have to explicitly engage it. Someone at work got burned by that in Europe to a really painful tune.

that is so funny Blade because when i think of good old frankinbuggy it has always been the reason i wouldnt buy a flexi buggy and now i want that new scout more than any buggy out there haha.yes the apexx is safe and still on our home turf :lol:

Well...I cleaned the buggy and got her all assembled today (after NABX)
It was about 2 in the afternoon so I thought I would check out GP (to late to set up,fly and be back by 6)
Low and behold DS was out flying so I had to take a pic with my iphone.

Good to see you out brother.

just spent 8 hours buggying then out for a beer and great burger and i thought the day could not get any better and now i see that my new set of wheels is here wooooooooo hoooooooooo :thumbup:

just like Christmas at my house tonight , brand new flexi scout sitting in the middle on the living room floor . i have to say our wives and or significant others seem to have become accustom to these type of events as there were no issues with building and sitting in this new ride right in the middle of the house :lol:

it only took 14 years of kiting to get to this level ,anyway nice looking buggy and i cant wait to try it out tomorrow:wee:now i have to start tearing down the XR+ and getting it ready to move to sunny Florida :shocked2: thanks Rip , coolbreeze and kitemama, i mean kitebuggymama

damm this new buggy is more comfortable than my wheel chair, now if i could just get it through door ways I would never have to get out of it :crazy:

I will be posting a pic soon ,pan is ready just has to be shipped and the front fork looks sick with the new red black GI talon bindings and the dakine heal pads/ straps .That should keep the feet on the pegs while buggying i just hope they will let me out in the event of a OBE :dunno: hey Rip i like rockstar way more than RB .They call me kenny the rockstar martin at our local RC track :rolleyes:

here is a detail view of my new foot straps to keep my feet from falling off the pegs. A step up from the nets.
Notice the red and green wheel markings for port and starboard on the wheels.

Nice use of the Black & Red Talons. What are you using for heelstraps? They also look to have ratchet adjustments.

Bottom straps are first generation Talons. Top straps are second gen Talons. Good eye Indigo.

i made the mini buggy just to leave around the park with the other buggies to further confuse the general public or I'm thinking of making one more so Bladerunner can get some buggy time in with them strapped to his feet while waiting for his new ride.and thanks Scott , the scout is a great buggy and is working out well ,only one OBE so far, i just ordered a uncle belt from Rip for it .

lets see the wheels were 8 bucks a set and you have to buy 2 sets go figure.8 collars 10 bucks. 15 bucks for the tubing and axles and 5 bucks worth of sail tape so looks like about 50 bucks, wow i didn't realize i spent that much but i just had to have one and putting it together was more than 50 bucks worth of fun anyways . took me about 3 hours but you should know that i have been building RC car ,boats , Helli, and plane for over 20 years so it is a labour of love .now that i think about it we will only need one more set of wheels because i have a extra one now so we could shave the cost a bit . let me know and i will get started on them for you Marc and what color would you like.

the rockstar is for you Rip. you are right cheezy ,i didn't realize the cost i just wanted one so price didn't matter . go to your local hobby shop and see what you can come up with bro maybe we can start a trend , key chain kitebuggies . I'm going to build more for sure maybe you will see one at Christmas time :dunno: wink wink . the red ranger is only my prototype and it will only get better from there :spin:
