It doesn't feel like it, but it's been three years since I set foot on JI. I'll be driving down tomorrow with my much better half, see you all then!

As a heads up for y'all, kite beach has moved north to the Oceanview beach. This is the old site of the commercial area. there is a ramp that will take buggies, and the beach between the ramp and the former kite beach is usually sparsely populated. You won't have to drag your buggy through someone's
event at the Great Dunes pavilion! Full moon tomorrow so the spring tides will rule higher highs and lower lows for the next couple of days.

Randy, we can go almost to the water tower. The official stop point is the last walk over before the water tower. You'll see a sign there that says no dogs allowed. They forgot to add no kite buggies allowed, but it was their intent.:D

We want to do head out about this time, but the zappy zapps are due west of us and uncomfortably close

We had a small meetup at Oceanview Beach yesterday afternoon as the tide swallowed the beach. While I have a Facebook account, I rarely look at it, not much of a media guy, I guess. I'll give it a look at some point, but I'd rather see you in person!

One other thing. When you are looking for tide information use the St Simons Light tide station not the Jekyll Marina. There is about 45min. difference
with the Jekyll site lagging St. Simons. It takes time for the sound to fill up so high and low tides are earlier on the ocean side of the island. Our property
management included a tide sheet but it was for the marina. Close but no cigar, as they say.

Chris and I are set up at Oceanview, waiting for family, wind and tide.
Look for the two white pop up canopies.

I was on SSI for the last 2 weeks and spent a day on Jekyll as well and the wind was BEAUTIFUL almost the whole time! ... It was blowing on-shore in the 10-20 mph range at least 90% of my time there! I flew a lot of S L K-s and had fun-fam time! ... If that holds, you guys will be in for a kick-butt JIBE!

Y'all have fun and post lotsa pics!

I'm going to take a nap now

JIBE 2022 is now in the books and I'm sure it will go down as one of the greatest ones. It was really to see and talk to everyone. Thanks to Angus for keeping this event going and picking the best days for it. I'm working on some video, featuring my WingBuggy. But I've got a lot to sort through. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were the sea breeze days we all love. Had to leave Thursday AM, so I'd love to hear how the rest of the week turned out.
