Any home build kiteboard roof racks ?


I am looking for ideas to make roof rack for my kiteboards .
I do own Thule snowboard rack , but looking for something that will hold my boards vertically .
Did anyone convert wakeboard tower rack to be used on a car ??

If you aren't worried about crosswinds, and want to go vertical, you could probably mouse two sets of Thule's other carrier (
Thule Universal Snowboard Carrier):

yeah .... I was thinking about using it as a base and adding something on a side ... thanks

That was my first option , but slots are wat too shallow for kiteboards and strap cable too short . I found few posts about it on wakeboarding forums but all people who try to mod it fail .
