After JIBE
Hey gang, I know Friday and Saturday are sometimes lost for packing and travel. For us Friday evening we'll be packing up the rental and checking out
by 10:00 am Saturday... but as usual for us, we will be headed to Saint Simons Island to join my inlaws for another week of vacation. I usually
reserve a few evenings on SSI for buggying on Saint Simons' East Beach. Last year some of my best sessions of the year were had with JimSSI during
these Sunset Sessions. All of that is to say that anyone who is still around after JIBE (just staying longer or if you live local) you are welcome to
join me on East Beach. I will definitely be there on Sunday and Monday evening to ride.
Say, where is that Jim Weldy?
Hey Angus, wanna come?
Here's some of last year: https://vimeo.com/171578142

Best Jibe quote of the day, " today is the reason why I kite buggy".
Nothing but smiles on people's faces as they came if from the beach
today. The wind and tides were darn near perfect.
Michael Gaylan came up top to rehidrat and went back down for
another session and came back tired and worn out but smiling.
He said this was his best day ever in a buggy.
Several men went up to the water tower and spent a great time
Up there away from the beach goers.
Good wind every day till the wind shift about 5 .
All in all, one of the best Jibes ever!

Outstanding ride this evening on SSI... I met Jim at the beach and rode the Northeasterly winds on Gould's inlet. Great stuff this evening!
I'll be out tomorrow evening too, probably riding the southern end of East Beach nearest to the Coastguard Station at the end of the East Beach
Causeway. Jim has somewhere to be tomorrow evening and can't make it but if anyone else is still around or is local, I'd love to see you out there....
looks light but rideable and from the south.

Even more outstanding than last night!.... pretty sure this will end my Golden Isles Ga buggy tour for 2017... maybe a tandem session with wifey later
this week, but not 100% sure.
Stefan was here packing up when I showed up and told me the wind direction was outstanding... Tonight was practically directly onshore and I rode
south from the coastguard station to just past 5th st beach access (turned around in front of the place my inlaws are renting) and rode all the way
back north to Goulds Inlet... not a strong wind, maybe 11-12 mph, but enough to have ridiculous fun cruising with the 6m P1... topped out at 26.2 mph.
It was light but lovely!
